Cora Novoa is a music producer, DJ, and creative director who has redefined Spanish electronic music from the intersection of art, technology, and sonic research. Initiated in classical music as a transverse flute player, she discovered the universe of electronic production through computer science, beginning a self-taught journey that would establish her as one of the most influential and coherent voices in the international electronic music scene.

After living in Madrid and Berlin, she settled in Barcelona where she founded SEEKING THE VELVET (2014), her independent transmedia label that fuses electronic and experimental pop music with art, music, and technology. Her work has been recognized on prestigious labels such as Turbo Recordings (owned by Tiga) and Citizen Records (founded by Vitalic). Her music has been supported by artists such as: Luke Slater, Marcel Dettmann, Dave Clarke, DVS1, Slam, Louisahhh, Djedjotronic, Ancient Methods, Schwefelgelb, Risa Taniguchi and many more.

In 2017 she was awarded Best DJ of the Year at the Vicious Music Awards, the first recognition of this category to a woman, consolidating her international position. Her collaborative work reached global dimensions in 2023 when, through her production on the remix of «Flotante» within the album Reputa by artist Zahara, both were nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards in the «Best Alternative Album» category—a historic distinction, as it was the first Latin Grammy ceremony held in Spain. Most recently, she received the Fonograma Prize 2025 from the Catalan Association of Phonographic Producers for her contribution to the dissemination of recorded music for Catalan culture.

Parallel to her artistic activity, Cora Novoa is an Ableton Official Certified Trainer and music content curator, teaching masterclasses on production, music industry, and creativity. She has presented her audiovisual live performances at emblematic venues such as Sónar Barcelona, the Tate Modern Museum in London, Fabric London, and Mutek Montreal. Additionally, she serves on selection and support committees for emerging artists, such as juror for the Will Smith Emerging Artist Fund (2025), demonstrating her commitment to democratizing knowledge and increasing visibility for underrepresented perspectives in the industry.

Her conceptual albums—Fight Love Faith (2015), The Hive, and the Mental Diary trilogy (with ACT III: This is not about you and me. This is about us being the most recent release in 2024)—reflect her continuous evolution from melodic sonorities toward more radical explorations with modular synthesizers, analog drum machines, and experimental narratives. Cora Novoa embodies the synthesis between analog craftsmanship and digital vanguard, projecting a legacy that transcends music: that of a creator who builds cultural ecosystems from independence with artistic coherence and professional generosity.

Cora Novoa es una productora musical, DJ y directora creativa que ha redefinido la música electrónica española desde la intersección del arte, la tecnología y la investigación sonora. Iniciada en la música clásica como flautista travesera, descubrió el universo de la producción electrónica a través de la informática, iniciando un camino autodidacta que la llevaría a convertirse en una de las voces más influyentes y coherentes de la escena electrónica internacional.

Tras vivir en Madrid y Berlín, se estableció en Barcelona donde fundó SEEKING THE VELVET (2014), su sello independiente transmedia que fusiona música electrónica y pop experimental con arte, música y tecnología. Su trabajo ha sido reconocido en sellos de prestigio como Turbo Recordings (de Tiga) y Citizen Records (fundado por Vitalic).
